We are Cristina Spiteri & Susanna Murphy, the immersive artist duo behind Bright Side Studios.
We’re a two-artist creative practice based in Edinburgh. We design projection-mapped installations, animated films, and atmospheric experiences that transform spaces into narrative environments.
Working across festivals, heritage sites, brands, museums and public art, we bring story, light and emotion into the spaces we create alongside our collaborators.

The Enchanted Forest, multi-award-winning sound and light show
We’ve created animation and motion content for The Enchanted Forest over the past three years, shaping large-scale storytelling through film, 3D and motion graphics.
For 2024’s Harmony, we collaborated with composer Jon Beales and lighting designer Grant Anderson to craft a mesmerising experience on Loch Dunmore — where light, sound and moving image intertwine across water and woodland.

Arrival, Holyrood Distillery. Award-winning immersive brand storytelling
We directed and produced award-winning immersive projections for Arrival at Holyrood Distillery, transforming the former Innocent Railway terminal into a multi-sensory storytelling experience.
Using animation, archival assets, projection mapping and holographic effects, we brought Holyrood’s whisky heritage to life across four chapters — Heritage, Speciality, Yeast and People — blending brand narrative, architecture and light.

Real-Time Generative Animation for the Manchester Science and Industry Museum
For Giant Leaps at the Manchester Science and Industry Museum, we directed and produced real-time generative animation — a movement-responsive installation that transformed audience motion into galaxies of stars.
Created in collaboration with choreographer Corey Baker and realised through holographic projection, the piece brought science, story and space to life.

Castle of Light, Projection Mapped Light Show, Edinburgh Castle
For Castle of Light at Edinburgh Castle, we produced large-scale projection-mapped animation and motion graphics, turning the historic fortress into a living storybook.
Working with the wider creative team, we produced sequences that illuminated stone walls, statues and the vast Esplanade, layering history, myth and imagination into a sweeping tapestry of light and sound. The result transformed one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks into an immersive celebration of storytelling, heritage and spectacle.
