Created for PoppyScotland in collaboration with Bright 3D and Ilka Studio, Bud is an 18-tonne truck transformed into a travelling museum, journeying across Scotland to share the legacy of Poppy Scotland. From city streets to remote communities, Bud fosters a modern understanding of remembrance, conflict, and unity in Scottish society. Inside, we produced film, animation and interactive displays that brought the charity’s history and its tireless support for veterans to life, inviting visitors to reflect on the profound stories within.

A highlight of the experience is crafting your own poppy, guided by projections of veterans’ hands, offering a tangible connection to their stories. Visitors can also engage with talking portraits, which share the evolution of the charity and its impact over time. Bud is a beacon of storytelling and education, delivering powerful moments of learning and reflection.
